Instruments
It’s time to dust off those horns again! Anticipating another great turnout, here is the general info on instruments. First, please make sure you REGISTER EARLY to reserve an instrument if you need one. If you wait until Saturday morning, we cannot guarantee you your correct instrument. Reminder: we do not have woodwinds to check out, so please bring your own. Also, if you can borrow an instrument from a friend, family member, or local school, PLEASE DO! Tubas: we will more than likely be able to borrow some instruments from the LHB practice set again. We just don’t know how many at this time. Percussion: thanks to LHB, we have an entire set of practice battery that is in MUCH better shape.
This year on the registration section of the website, we will have a specific number of instruments available on first come, first served basis. From this list we will label the instruments with your name before you pick them up Friday night. Please show up early on Friday so that we may hand everything out efficiently. If you do not show up Friday evening during checkout your name will be removed from the instrument and it will go to whoever needs it first. If by chance you still have an instrument from last year, please contact me to so I an update our inventory. If you absolutely cannot come Friday night for checkout or have someone else pick up your instrument for you, please contact me.
This year is a little different since we will have our rehearsal and gathering at the Red McCombs North End Zone!!! So instead of the normal spot for checking out instruments, we will have the truck parked out by the North End Zone and proceed with check out there. This is new for us, so changes might have to be made at last second, but keep an eye out for the truck and we will be ready to help you out. We need some volunteers to help us! If you’ve volunteered before and would like to help again, please send me an email. We also need Friday morning help to separate, label, and load the instruments. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year! And please, BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT IF POSSIBLE!!!
