Nominations for 2009-2010 Officers

Officer nominations for the coming year are now being accepted by the Nominating Committee and will be voted on Friday, November 6, 2009, at our annual business meeting at the Friday night rehearsal before Band Day. With the exception of President-Elect, Alumni Band officers serve a one-year term. Board of Directors (BOD) members serve three-year terms, and Longhorn Alumni Band Charitable Fund Board of Trustees (BOT) members serve either a two-year or three-year term. All Alumni Band officer positions are up for election except for the incoming President and the Past-President. The BOD, the policy making body of our organization, will have two openings for three-year terms, and the BOT will have an opening for one two-year term and for one three-year term. All LHAB dues paying members in good standing are eligible to serve, and all who truly love this great institution are encouraged to step forward. Officers generally meet on the first Monday of every month. The BOD and BOT meet quarterly. Though meetings are in Austin, you need not live there to serve.
