Parking
Friday
Parking for Friday night will be available in the Manor Garage adjacent to the east side of the stadium for a reduced rate of $5 (originally $10). To get this rate, let the parking attendant know when you pay at the office, that you were at the Longhorn Alumni Band Event.
Saturday
Parking at the Speedway Garage for LHAB will be available at 4:00am. There will be no attendant at the site at that time. Take a ticket from the gate machine and park. Parking will come around later and place an envelope on your windshield. Use that envelope to put your payment ($10) for all day and give it to the attendant as you leave.
Again this year UT has offered us the use of the Speedway Garage located at 27th and Speedway. The charge for parking there is $10 for the whole day. They will be reserving spaces for us in the garage, and you may park there as early as before the morning rehearsal.
We will be hiring a bus from Clark Travel again to shuttle us from the parking garage to the Band Hall and/or to the Bubble. Additionally, for those who need use of it, we will be able to make 1 or 2 trips from the Bubble to DKR for our combined rehearsal with LHB. Of course, the easiest ways to get to the area are by carpooling or having someone drop you off and pick you up in the area. Please note that LHAB cannot be responsible for any tickets you may receive when parking for Band Day.
Any changes to this will be announced at the Friday meeting.
