Registering Membership Dues and Band Day Fees
Effective this Band Day are changes in the price and structure of LHAB membership dues and Band Day registration fees. The officers and board members for LHAB have been discussing these options for some time and earlier this year, the final changes were agreed upon and implemented.
The first change is that there will now be two separate prices for membership dues and Band Day participation. This will benefit those who cannot attend Band Day but want to remain active in LHAB and receive mailings and updates. Instead of paying the same dues price as those who are attending, you will pay a discounted rate of either $10 for a single member or $15 for joint membership. This is a reduction of $15-25 for those who cannot attend but maintain their active membership.
For those who are attending Band Day, there will now be a separate additional Band Day registration fee to cover administrative costs directly associated with Band Day. The Band Day fee will be $25 per person so a single membership attendee would pay a total of $35 ($10 + $25) and two joint members who are both attending would pay a total of $65 ($15 + $25 + $25). Senior and first-year membership will remain unchanged, regardless of Band Day attendance.
Second, the Band Day fee includes a slight increase that allows LHAB to purchase additional guest game tickets that will not be sold in order to be used for more space in the stands. As the demand for tickets has increased with the recent success of the football team, the unused tickets from the LHAB allotment have been resold at an increasingly successful rate. This has put a cramp on our total space in the stands, which is tight to begin with. To help alleviate this, LHAB will buy these additional tickets to prevent them from being re-sold and hopefully, free up some space.
These changes are reflected in this year's registration form so look over it carefully and make sure everything is correctly listed and paid for. As situations with tickets and the logistics of Band Day continue to evolve, it may be necessary to make further changes to our dues and fee structure in the future.
