Wanted: Section Leaders!
Plans are well underway for another great band day. The officers have been hard at work, the show is being written as we speak, and you all have your forms to complete! On the form is a space for all former LHB section leaders to volunteer to help the LHAB in the same capacity. Please do so.
We have learned through hard trial and error how to run an efficient rehearsal. There isnt another band in the country that can put this many people on the field, with so little practice time, and produce a half time show like we do. Some of the credit for this goes to our members skills, of course, but mainly it is because we have a few dedicated individuals who step forward each year and give us their leadership. Without these section leaders doing the teaching and problem solving on the field, we just couldnt do it.
For all those who help us each year, Ill look forward to seeing you again. For all the rest of you, please do your part, at least every now and then, and give us your time and leadership! I think youll find the job to be challenging, and a lot of fun. Youll have a whole new understanding of our organization, and youll be doing your part to help us continue a great halftime tradition.
