The UT Alumni Band is a very valued organization by the UT Butler School of Music, College of Fine Arts, Department of Athletics and especially the Longhorn Band students and staff. With the increase of football season ticket sales coupled with the necessity to accommodate each visiting team's fans, there have been compromises made between UT Athletics and the Alumni Band regarding seating, but UT Athletics has communicated directly with me that they are committed to maintaining a positive relationship with the Alumni Band and there is absolutely no talk of pulling them from performing at a designated football game each season. |
