Fondest Greetings to our noble Longhorns as we look forward to gathering together for the 50th Reunion of the Worlds Champion Alumni Band!!!!!
As I reflect on this event it seems like like just a short time ago that we started this Association at the behest of Jane DiNino!!
Since then we have had growth and more growth!!! Have started a great scholarship program! Units have played for countless occasions !!! and now that Dr. Carnochan has been “in office” for some ten years we are welcoming his contingent of new faces to the “club”!
I look forward once again to seeing ALL of you!!!
And am so very proud of this steller lineup of UT Band Directors! Jerry Junkin, Director of Bands and one of my most beloved of former DiNino LHBers! Rob Carnochan, now the “Leader of the Band” Scott Hanna, now a topflite conductor and always important leader of the LHB, Anthony Marinello, ah yes, finally another Italian name on the masthead!!!
So Blessings to you all!!!! As the years have flown by!!!! I am so pleased that I can still be “up and at em” to welcome you back to the “BAND HALL” and another rousing weekend and steller performance in Memorial Stadium!!!!
