Please note: The online payment receipt has tax deductible wording that applies only to scholarship donations.  The scholarship donations go to the Longhorn Alumni Band Charitable Fund, Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

The London trip is being handled by the Longhorn Alumni Band, Inc. which is a 501(c)7 social organization.  Funds paid to LHAB for the trip are NOT tax deductible.

To reiterate, please submit your payment by Thursday, Nov. 6th at 11:59 CST. If you have any questions and/or believe that there has been a mistake, please email hewright@yahoo.com with ALL receipts attached to the email ASAP.

If you’re entitled to a refund for overpayment, we will try our best to mail you a check before Thanksgiving. Thank you for being so patient!

Rehearsals-correction 11/5/14

Paula Crider has to adjudicate bands while in London. Mandatory rehearsal on Dec. 29th is now from 4:00-5:00p.m with a short meeting afterwards from 5:00-5:30pm. Dec. 30th’s rehearsal will now begin at 9:00 a.m. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
 

Shipping Instruments

If you need to hold onto your instrument until Dec., please contact us to arrange a time for drop off prior to packing the carnet on Dec. 13th. We need volunteers to help us pack instruments into boxes on Dec. 13th at the storage unit in Austin, TX at 10:30 a.m.

Some of you will receive an email confirming your shipping option this week. Please respond ASAP because I have to submit the final list by Friday to London. It must be exact and anyone failing to drop off an instrument will cause our entire instrument carnet to be voided and sadly, we won’t have any instruments for the parade. It’s imperative that if you commit to shipping your instrument with us that it’s here on time.
 

Uniforms

All uniforms have been distributed. We still have some jackets in YL, S, XL, 2XL, 3XL if you like to exchange yours or purchase an additional one for someone on the trip. Please contact me by Nov. 6th to do so.

You’ll have to return the hat in unworn condition for an even exchange. Please make exchanges no later than Nov. 6th as they’re having a difficult time with the vendor shipping sizes before the holiday rush. Dylan will be able to give you more information. Travel Insurance

London Travel insurance policy has been posted.  We strongly advise everyone to read the full terms and conditions of the insurance policy, as this is a contract between you and the insurer.  We want everyone to take the time to be well-informed regarding their rights and responsibilities.

Concert Tickets

Some of you have asked how to obtain concert tickets for the bands that are performing. Well, once London has posted the schedule online, I’ll be able to tell you more. From the powers that be, we should be able to get enough tickets if anyone wants to see a show. Transportation will be at your own expense.
